Frequently asked questions

How do I cancel my Vial Pro subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID, not inside Vial. Open the iOS Settings app → tap your name at the top → tap Subscriptions → select Vial Pro → tap Cancel Subscription. Your access remains until the current billing period ends.

I upgraded but the app still shows free-tier limits.

Open Vial → Profile → under the Vial Pro card, tap Manage Subscription. This refreshes your entitlement. If that doesn't resolve it, force-quit the app (swipe up, swipe the Vial card away) and reopen. Last resort: reinstall the app and use Profile → Restore Purchases.

How do I restore purchases on a new device?

Install Vial → open the paywall (tap Profile → Upgrade, or any Pro feature) → tap Restore at the bottom. Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID you used for the original purchase.

Is my data synced between my iPhone and iPad?

Not currently. In the current version, your tracking data is stored locally on each device. We're evaluating a user-controlled backup/restore option for a future release. In the meantime, you can use Profile → Export Data to save a JSON snapshot.

Where is my data stored?

All of your tracking data lives in an on-device SQLite database inside Vial's sandboxed storage. It's never transmitted to us — we don't have servers. See the Privacy Policy for details.

How do I back up my data?

Profile → Export Data. This generates a JSON file with every vial, log, protocol, and profile field. Save it to iCloud Drive, Files, or email it to yourself for safekeeping.

How do I delete my data entirely?

Profile → Delete Account. This wipes every record in the app immediately and permanently. It does not cancel your App Store subscription — you'll need to do that separately via the iOS Settings app (see question above). Uninstalling the app also removes all local data.

Can Vial tell me what peptide to take, or what dose?

No — and by design. Vial is a tracking tool, not a medical advisor. The Peptide Guide shows general information sourced from public research, highlights common protocols, and surfaces patterns from your own logs. It does not prescribe, recommend, or diagnose. Always consult a licensed physician before starting any peptide protocol.

Does Vial sell or recommend peptide vendors?

No. Vial is strictly a tracking and organization tool. We have no affiliate relationships with peptide sellers and we do not provide sourcing information.

Why is peptide X not in the library?

We include peptides with documented research protocols. If something is missing and you believe it should be included, email support@vialtracker.com with the name and we'll evaluate it for a future library update.

Siri shortcut isn't working.

Make sure Siri is enabled in iOS Settings → Apple Intelligence & Siri. Shortcut phrases: "Hey Siri, log my BPC-157 dose" or "Hey Siri, next dose." If the shortcut still doesn't fire, open Vial once manually — iOS occasionally needs the app to be launched to re-register its intents.

Home Screen widget shows old data.

iOS refreshes widgets on its own schedule — typically every 15-30 minutes. Tapping the widget opens the app and forces a refresh. The data shown is always accurate as of the last refresh.
